Viewing Help: Read all three
(1) Problem Viewing Buddog Web Pages, gray boxes?
If
you can only view the text and see gray box or boxes on your desktop, you need to update your virtual machine
software or your browser. All the network servers have updated their software to
comply with the new higher security XP software versions from Microsoft, doing
so some older browser versions cannot display the Java Script language, giving
you a gray box instead. This is true not only for this web site but all web
sites that contain Java scripts. On Windows 98 versions and newer versions click
the windows update icon and select the free virtual machine update. Another way
is to update your web browser entirely. The newest version of Internet Explorer
(IE6) from Microsoft is available for a free download at
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=1e1550cb-5e5d-48f5-b02b-20b602228de6&DisplayLang=en
(Windows XP, Read below)
Be sure to read all the installation
instructions carefully before downloading and installing any and all software on
your computer. If
you are using a third party software like Aol etc. contact your software
customer support. You will have a link for your browsers online customer support, normally
located on the help menu.
If you don't feel secure about updating your computer software DO NOT DO IT

How to navigate pages without upgrading or installing VM .
You can view pages on this site
without updating your software, but you are limited and will have to do it via
text links only from the site map page. Text links do not contain Java script
.Click
http://buddog.itgo.com/s-map.htm to go directly to the Site Map, click the
page link you want to view and use your browser back button to select another
link from the Site Map. Note: You can navigate
pages but you won't be able to navigate photo albums.

While viewing a Buddog Photo Albums
While viewing a Buddog Photo Albums the right and left arrows moves the thumbnails. When either arrow is in a charcoal gray color there are more photos that can be viewed in that album (allowing scroll). When either of the two arrows are white this means the end of scrolling in that direction. Left click any thumbnail to view in full size.
|
Right click the full size photo
Right click the full size photo and select save as, give it a name of your choice, click the top drop box and select the location on your hard drive you want to save it to (normally C:/My Documents/My Pictures). Once you have decided the location click save and the file downloaded to your computer.

Select the area of the text that you want to copy.
To do this put your cursor at the top point where you want to start, left click and hold while pulling the cursor to the lowest point thus highlighting the text desired. Put the cursor anywhere over the highlighted text area, right click, move your cursor over on the windows box and click copy. Open any text editor, right click anywhere on text page glide your cursor over on the windows box and click paste.
|
Highlight the area desired as described in Copy and Paste.
The recipe pages are designed to be printed without the text going off the page when printed. If the background texture is being printed along with the text. On any Microsoft's browsers, click the start menu, click settings, click control panel, click internet options, click advanced top folder tab, scroll down to printing, uncheck Print background colors and images. If you have I-Explorer open, click tools dropdown menu, click folder options click advanced top folder tab, scroll down to printing, uncheck Print background colors and images. On Aol or any other browser there are similar types of setting. We are not familiar with these browsers, you can always click the help dropdown menu to locate this setting. All other pages such as the Genealogy pages when sent directly to the printer will not print full sentences because of the width of the page is wider than the printer paper. You will have to use the copy and paste method in you word processor program. This will allow you to print the entire contents on the pages.
